The 30th Hongcheon Sticky Corn Festival runs from July 17 (Friday) to July 19 (Sunday), 2026 — three days at Tori Forest Urban Forest Park in Galmagok-ri, Hongcheon-eup, Hongcheon County, Gangwon State. The location is 501 Galmagok-ri, Hongcheon-eup, Hongcheon County.
The festival venue, Tori Forest, is an urban forest park, so you can enjoy the festival under cool tree shade. It's a great environment for escaping the midsummer heat. The festival is held around the start of the summer vacation season, making it perfect for a family outing.

The star of the Hongcheon Sticky Corn Festival is undoubtedly sticky corn. Unlike regular corn, sticky corn (chal-oksusu) is characterized by its wonderfully chewy texture.

Olchaengi guksu is a representative local food of Gangwon Province. It's noodles made from corn, named because the noodles are short and plump like tadpoles (olchaengi means tadpole). 🚆 Getting to Hongcheon
Hongcheon is located in western Gangwon Province with good accessibility from the greater Seoul area.
Express/Intercity Bus is the most common method. From Seoul's Dong Seoul Terminal, Hongcheon takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. Being close to the greater Seoul area, it's perfectly doable as a day trip. From Hongcheon Bus Terminal, the Tori Forest festival grounds are a short distance away.
Driving takes about 1.5 to 2 hours from Seoul. It's close to the Hongcheon IC on the Seoul-Yangyang Expressway. Parking is available near the festival grounds, but arriving early on weekends is best.
A major advantage of Hongcheon is its proximity to the greater Seoul area, making it an easy trip. Just 1.5 hours from Seoul, you can encounter Gangwon's pristine nature and delicious sticky corn!

Hongcheon is a region with many tourist attractions, so accommodation options are diverse. Booking early during the festival is best.
Hongcheon is full of natural attractions. Vivaldi Park is a large four-season resort where the Ocean World water park is popular in summer.
