The 2026 Buyeo Seodong Lotus Festival runs from July 3 (Friday) to July 5 (Sunday) — three days at Seodong Park (Gungnamji Pond) in Buyeo County, Chungnam Province. This year marks the 24th edition of the festival.
The festival's stage, Gungnamji Pond, is Korea's oldest artificial pond and garden water feature, created during the Baekje Dynasty. Today the entire pond is covered with lotus flowers, transforming into a living lotus paradise every summer. This scenery alone is reason enough to visit.

Buyeo is located in Chungnam Province with good accessibility from Seoul.
Express Bus is the most common method. From Seoul's Central City Terminal (Express Bus Terminal), Buyeo takes about 2 hours. From Buyeo Intercity Bus Terminal, Gungnamji is about 10 minutes by taxi or 20 minutes on foot.
Driving takes about 2 hours from Seoul. During the festival, dedicated event parking lots and connected parking lots operate, along with free shuttle buses and shuttle taxis. Using the shuttle from the parking lot makes entry convenient.
